  • Veteran nomination and transportation-assistance application information.

  • Driver’s-license and insurance information when necessary to determine vehicle-award eligibility.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, banking passwords, medical records, or other information that we have not specifically requested.

Donation and payment information

Online donations may be processed by a third-party payment processor. The Foundation generally does not directly receive or store your complete credit-card or banking information. The payment processor’s own privacy policy and terms will apply to the transaction.

3. Veteran Applications and Nominations

Information submitted for the Road to Freedom Veterans Day Vehicle Award or another Foundation program will be used to determine eligibility and administer the selection process.

Application information may be reviewed by authorized:

  • Selection-committee members.

  • Foundation officers or employees.

  • Designated volunteers or professional advisers assisting with verification or program administration.

We ask reviewers to protect applicant confidentiality and use information only for authorized Foundation purposes.

Submitting an application or nomination does not guarantee assistance or selection.

4. How We Share Information

The Foundation does not sell or rent personal information.

We may share information:

  • With website, email, form-storage, payment-processing, accounting, or other service providers that help us operate.

  • With board members, committee members, volunteers, advisers, repair facilities, dealerships, title-service providers, insurers, or community partners when reasonably necessary to administer a program.

  • When you give us permission.

  • To investigate fraud, protect Foundation property, or protect the rights and safety of applicants, donors, volunteers, staff, or others.

Although certain nonprofit tax records may be publicly available, contributor names and addresses reported on an annual return generally are not required to be publicly disclosed by a tax-exempt organization. 

5. Publicity, Photographs, and Recipient Stories

We will seek appropriate permission before intentionally publishing a program recipient’s personal story, identifiable photographs, video, or testimonial for fundraising, publicity, or promotional purposes.

Choosing not to provide publicity consent will not automatically disqualify an applicant unless participation in a specific public event reasonably requires limited public acknowledgment and that requirement has been clearly disclosed in advance.

You may unsubscribe from promotional emails by using the unsubscribe option included in the message or contacting us directly. Transactional or application-related messages may continue while your matter is active.

We will not send automated marketing text messages without any consent required by applicable law.

Our website and vehicle-assistance programs are not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the website. A parent or legal guardian should contact us if they believe a child has submitted personal information without authorization.
